Classic Pop Summary

From evaluating this magazine, I have decided that the red, black and white colour scheme is effective as it looks professional and informative, however, mixing its with brighter, fun colours makes it look untidy and unprofessional. Therefore, when creating my magazine, I will stick to a more rigid, professional colour scheme and house style to give it a more sophisticated mode of address, and to make it more user friendly and practical. Additionally, this colours are not sexualised meaning that they will appeal to a wider demographic of both genders, and different ages. I have decided that the ‘Classic Pop’ contents page is very successful as it has a strong aesthetic appeal and is visually stimulating to the reader. However, I believe the magazine’s double page spread is a weakness as it doesn’t link in with the house style of the magazine, and uses fairly neutral, unstimulating colours.
