- I will use a black, white and red colour scheme, as it was most effective on competitor magazines, and the most preferred colour scheme in my customer survey.
- I will use two different fonts on my front cover, as it was the most popular response.
- I will use a cover star who looks current and relevant, as it will encourage my young audience to buy the magazine. The cover star will also be female as that was the most desirable when surveying my target audience.
- I will include a puff, cover lines and lots of plugs to create a busy, exciting front cover that will appeal to my demographic
- My contents page will have a image to text ratio of 75:25 to stimulate my readers and make the magazine more vibrant, increasing its aesthetic appeal.
- I will have 2-3 pictures on my double page spread to increase the aesthetic appeal of the magazine
- I will have a friendly/chatty mode of address to engage my readers, and appeal to my young demographic
- The attitude of my magazine will be sassy to appeal to my young audience.
The main demographic of my magazine is:
- Ages 13-20
- 80% females, 20% males
- Lower middle class (C1) people who are predominantly new affluent workers as they are young and may not have a steady income, however, enough of a disposable income to spend approximately £5 a month
- Fans of pop music and pop culture who care about current affairs in the pop music industry and want to remain up to date with the newest music and trends.
